"For example, the protected waters of 30,000 islands can enjoy a pleasant boating experience of almost endless area exploration, each of the countless inland lakes is unique in its own way.

"But what if the original waters that attracted so many people to the area no longer exist?
What if they are contaminated?
The dock area is not even willing to consider this possibility.
In recent years, they have taken important measures to ensure that they are as eco-friendly as possible, because while yacht docks account for only a small part of the environmental degradation of waterways, they are one of the countries most affected by water quality.
"Over the years, the terminal has had to adapt to the needs of its customers.
People pay more attention to environmental protection than ever before, and they want the marine industry to follow suit, "explains Jeff Beitz, owner of the Georgian Bay pier.
"Over the past decade, ship manufacturers have listened and built ships that have increased fuel efficiency by 60 cents.
The marina is also listening to by improving the way we operate to pay more attention to the environment. ”-

This manual, prepared through collaboration between Ontario boating, Environment Canada and Environment Ontario, lists more than 200 environmental practices covering all aspects of marine operations.
Whether they do it under the umbrella of cleaning the ocean or on their own initiative, Parry Sound Wharf is at the forefront of environmental practice.
Pollution prevention strategies, for example, are at the heart of most marine efforts to become more ecologicalfriendly.
At the low end of the spectrum, this involves simple best practices to prevent fuel from entering the water, such as using oil-
When refuelling on a hot day, the absorption pad will never fill the tank with the top, as it is understood that gasoline expands at high temperatures and therefore spills.
More complex projects include capturing and slowly releasing rain water using native plants, or adopting energy-saving technologies (
